La Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación es el órgano superior del poder judicial de la federación.
Sus funciones son:
1. Son los encargados de “defender lo que establece la Constitución”. Esto se hace a través de acciones de inconstitucionalidad, controversias constitucionales y amparos.
Las acciones de inconstitucionalidad son para analizar normas que pudieran ir en contra de algo que establece la Constitución en materia de derechos humanos (garantías individuales), contenidos prohibidos o porque algo no se hiciera con el debido proceso. También pueden analizar ciertos criterios de contravención a tratados internacionales porque estos forman parte del bloque constitucional.

Por un momento creí que era una confusión digna de pensar.
